Luciano Pierre White, son of renowned chef Marco Pierre White, announced he and his fiancée, fashion designer Stephanie Beard, are expecting their first child. The restaurateur shared the news on Instagram Monday through a series of black-and-white photographs, one of which showed the couple holding a sonogram. Beard is the founder of the clothing brand Silked London.
The announcement comes after a challenging period for Luciano Pierre White's restaurant ventures. His Italian restaurant, Luciano’s, located in Woking, was dissolved in September with minimal assets, having reportedly accrued significant debt. Companies House documents indicated that the business owed £100,000 to HM Revenue and Customs and over £150,000 to 26 creditors at the time of its closure. This marks the third restaurant venture of his to fold since 2020, following establishments in Dorchester and Exeter.
Luciano Pierre White currently operates the Rudloe Arms, a hotel and restaurant in Wiltshire, which was renovated and opened by his father. In May, reviews of the Rudloe Arms surfaced, with some patrons accusing the restaurateur of being rude and arrogant. He has also faced accusations of providing poor customer service and making stringent demands on guests at the venue.
His brother, Marco Pierre White Jr., has also encountered legal difficulties, most recently being remanded in custody awaiting sentencing for theft charges related to a series of burglaries. Marco Jr. admitted to stealing items including electronics and crystals from various London stores, and disputes an alleged £43,000 in damages to one establishment.
