Lu & Jarch to Replace Carrie and Tommy on Hit Network Drive Slot
Triple M stars Luisa Dal Din and Jack Archdale will take over the coveted drive-time slot from 2027 after Bickmore and Little's departure.
Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little's replacements at the Hit Network have been announced as Triple M stars Luisa Dal Din and Jack Archdale, known as Lu & Jarch, will take over the coveted Drive slot. The announcement came at Channel Seven's upfronts on Thursday.
Lu & Jarch, who have hosted Triple M's nationwide early Drive show since 2025 and also produce the popular podcast "We Mean Well," are set to helm Hit's drive-time slot beginning in 2027. Hit stated the duo has "built a fiercely loyal, highly engaged audience through their podcast" and are anticipated to deliver "hilarious, unfiltered takes on everyday life."
Luisa Dal Din expressed her excitement for the new chapter, saying, "It's been an incredible journey with Jarch so far, and joining Hit feels like the perfect next chapter. We're so excited to launch Lu & Jarch on Hit and to be part of our listeners' afternoons from 4pm."
Jack Archdale added, "Getting the chance to take the next step with Hit is really special. Lu and I have built something we're really proud of, and we're ready to have a crack at 4-6pm and make it our own."
Matthew O'Reilly, Seven Media Group's Head of Broadcast Content, commented that Lu & Jarch will "bring fresh energy to the Hit brand across Australia." He highlighted their "incredible ability to connect with audiences" and their remarkable achievements, including their successful podcast and impact on Triple M.
Their new show is scheduled to air weekdays from 4pm to 6pm across the Hit Network starting Monday, January 18, and will also be available on the LiSTNR app.
Bickmore and Little's exit from their long-running show, the third most-listened-to network radio program in Australia, was announced on Wednesday. The show will conclude by the end of the year.
Bickmore is reportedly moving to rival station KIIS FM to replace the "Will & Woody" drive-time show. Little's future remains unclear, with speculation of a bidding war between KIIS and the Hit Network.
Bickmore tearfully announced her departure during Wednesday's broadcast, stating, "I've loved every minute of doing the show. It's not every day you get to come and have a laugh and call it your job with your best mate and the funniest guy in the country, and that's what we've got to do for the last decade."
Little described the end of their partnership as "really sad" and expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying, "It's certainly not how I wanted it to end. I love this job, and I would have kept doing it for a long time."
Inside Mail had previously reported that Bickmore was considering an exit from SCA following the company's merger with Seven West Media. Despite her popularity with advertisers and listeners, SCA is reportedly amenable to her departure to KIIS Drive.
