LSU Fan Involved in Altercation with Police During Ole Miss Game
Video captures an LSU supporter being struck by an officer and subsequently arrested during a heated exchange in the stands.
A confrontation between an LSU fan and police in the stands at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium during Saturday night's game against Ole Miss has been captured on video. The incident occurred as the seventh-ranked LSU Tigers faced the Rebels in Oxford, Mississippi.
The video, shared online, shows one LSU fan being apprehended by an officer in the front row of the end-zone seating. While this individual did not resist, another fan, wearing a replica jersey of former LSU star Patrick Peterson, began to aggressively record the arrest. This second fan then became involved in a physical altercation with the officer, who initially attempted to subdue him with a bear hug before delivering a left hook.

The officer unloaded a left hook on the man in the Patrick Peterson jersey, who was arrested.
Mississippi Highway Patrol officers arrived and took the fan in the Peterson jersey to the ground, where he was handcuffed. Both fans were then escorted out of the stadium.
The game marked the return of LSU head coach Lane Kiffin to Oxford, where he previously coached Ole Miss before departing for LSU in November. His departure followed leading the Rebels to the College Football Playoff. The Rebels, under defensive coordinator Pete Golding, reached the semifinals of the playoffs and have started the current season 3-0.
Following the game, which LSU lost 32-24, Ole Miss is scheduled to play the Florida Gators, while LSU will host Texas A&M.
