LPGA Golfer Charley Hull Narrowly Avoided Forehead Tattoo After Drunken Night
The professional golfer shared that a friend intervened to prevent her from getting "hold tight" tattooed on her forehead at age 17.
LPGA star Charley Hull has recounted a close call with a permanent facial tattoo during a night out in Ibiza when she was 17. Hull revealed that she had been drinking at a club and, in a drunken state, decided it would be a good idea to get the phrase "hold tight" tattooed across her forehead.
Hull explained that she and her friend, James, frequently used the phrase "Hold tight" to each other. This shared sentiment led to her impulsive decision. However, her friend intervened, preventing her from getting the tattoo on her forehead. Instead, Hull received the tattoo on her foot, with her friend getting a matching one on his arm.
The golfer woke up the next morning with no memory of the tattoo incident and was surprised to discover it. She initially thought she had returned from the club with a plastic bag on her foot, only to learn it was the wrapping from her new tattoo.
Hull shared that she has two other tattoos: her ex-husband's name on her wrist, which she has attempted to have removed, and a lightning bolt on her finger that matches a friend's tattoo. Of the three, the "hold tight" tattoo on her foot is the one with the most memorable story, and fortunately, it did not end up on her forehead.
