‘Love of Your Life’ Filmed Across Four Cities, Including Boston and New Orleans

The new Amazon romance film, Love of Your Life, starring Margaret Qualley and directed by Rachel Morrison, was filmed across four major cities worldwide: Boston, Lisbon, London, and New Orleans.

The film, which began streaming on Prime Video on October 14, 2026, follows Maya (Qualley), a nurse who experiences a whirlwind romance with Charlie (Gabriel Basso) and later with Felix (Aaron Pierre).

Lisbon, Portugal, and the nearby Algarve coast served as significant filming locations. Director Rachel Morrison described Lisbon and Algarve as "enchanted places" with unique light and vibrant colors. Specific Lisbon sites featured in the movie include the Alfama neighborhood, known for its iconic yellow tram, and the Rossio railway station.

"Portugal was amazing," said star Margaret Qualley in an interview. "We’d been filming in London for some time by the time we got to Portugal, and a lot of the crew came with us, so it was awesome to let them loose and jump in the water and get drunk and stuff. The food was amazing. It was beautiful."

Aaron Pierre, who also stars in the film, noted that his scenes were shot in London and Lisbon. "My sections of the film were London and Lisbon. I’m born and raised in London; I’m a London boy, so I loved being home," Pierre said. "Lisbon was just gorgeous; it was my first time there. I completely fell in love with Lisbon. The food is just out of this world."

Morrison aimed to create a visual distinction between the locations, describing Lisbon as having a "shimmering sunlight and a saturated color palette," while Boston and London were envisioned with a more "linear, analogue feeling."

In Massachusetts, filming took place in Boston, Cambridge, Concord, and Lexington. A specific location used was the Washington Tower in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. Morrison, who was raised in Cambridge, found the filming there particularly personal, as her parents are buried nearby.

New Orleans also served as a backdrop, with scenes shot at The Big Easy café and The Columns Hotel on St. Charles Avenue.

Filming in London included the Sessions Arts Club, a private club housed in a former Victorian-era courthouse. Notably, a scene set in New Orleans was actually filmed at this London location.
