Love Island winner Kai Fagan has resigned from his teaching position to focus on his new fitness business, Fagan's Fitness, which he launched with his wife, Sanam.

Fagan, 28, announced his departure from teaching in an Instagram video, explaining that while he enjoyed his career, he wanted to pursue his long-standing passion for health and fitness. He studied sport and exercise science and human nutrition at university and aims to fully commit to the new venture.

"I've actually stopped teaching, and this is the honest reason why," Fagan stated in the video. "Now it wasn't an easy decision, and teaching has been a massive part of who I am for many years... But this year I made the decision to step away. Not because I stopped loving teaching, but because I wanted to challenge myself in a different way."

He added that he could not dedicate 100% to both teaching and the new business, necessitating a choice. Fagan emphasized that this is not a permanent goodbye to education, expressing continued respect for the profession and advocating for education.

Fagan's Fitness, located in Milton Keynes, aims to help clients "fall in love with fitness" through signature classes, a six-week training program, and one-to-one personal training. The facility also focuses on building friendships and providing professional guidance.

The couple, who met on Love Island in March 2023 and won the season, revealed their new business venture on social media in late May, with a formal launch announcement on June 19.

Kai and Sanam married in August 2025. Despite their reality television fame, they chose an intimate wedding with only 60 guests, including fellow Islander Ron Hall. They stated that most attendees had a close, genuine relationship with them.

"We just don't have friends from the show like that. That's just how life goes," Kai Fagan previously told The Mirror regarding their wedding guest list. Sanam added, "We only had 60 guests. Looking around, we realised every single person there had a genuine, close relationship with us."
