Love Island Stars Molly Smith and Tom Clare Detail Wedding Mishaps and Mini-Moon Adventures

Molly Smith and Tom Clare, known for their appearance on Love Island's spin-off series, have shared amusing anecdotes from their recent wedding in Mallorca and their mini-moon in Turkey. The couple, who met in South Africa, described their wedding as "everything" they had hoped for, despite encountering a few unexpected challenges.

One notable incident involved Tom's bowtie, which he attempted to self-tie on the morning of the wedding. "You couldn't do it the morning of. You was like trying to watch YouTube and it weren't working," Molly recalled. The crisis came to light when the photographer and videographer informed Molly that Tom had no bowtie.

"But we had a good laugh and I wouldn't change it," Tom stated.

The festivities continued post-vows at the Suculenta Port de Sóller restaurant, but the celebrations took a turn on the second day when police were called. Rumors had circulated that best man Casey O'Gorman had been arrested, which Tom has since clarified was not the case. "Basically, we all just jumped in the sea where there were no signs that we couldn't jump in the sea," he explained. "And so we were all just jumping in the sea then the local guard gave us a little tap on the wrists and that was it."

To commemorate the occasion, the newlyweds and their fellow Love Island guests opted for matching tequila shot tattoos on their ankles. Molly admitted to looking up tattoo parlors in Mallorca while a few drinks in, leading to the spontaneous decision. "I don't know how it snowballed into that either," she said.

Following their wedding, the couple flew to Bodrum, Turkey, for their mini-moon. However, their travel plans were disrupted by widespread air traffic issues. "We had trouble going out because we were due to fly out on the Tuesday and that's all the air traffic. All the fights were stopped," Molly explained. Tom recounted sitting on a canceled flight for three hours before being sent home, eventually rebooking from Leeds.

Despite the travel hiccup, the mini-moon provided the relaxation they sought after a busy year. "It was exactly what we just wanted; something super chilled, relaxed because every holiday we've been on this year has been like, obviously the wedding, we had dinners and parties and like all events and stuff," Molly said. They spent their time playing board games like Yatzy and Uno.

Looking ahead, Smith and Clare plan to embark on their main honeymoon early next year in South Africa, where Molly's parents have gifted them a safari experience. "I think maybe the start of next year when the season's a bit better. We're going to definitely look. I think that's going to be our main only moon next," Tom said.

Currently, the couple is focused on settling into their new home, which they intend to make their "forever home." They are also considering starting a family in the future but are in no rush. "We will definitely be talking about the family in the future, but yeah, we're just not in any rush," Tom stated.
