The East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office has opened a criminal investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving two Louisiana State University students. The alleged incident may have occurred on LSU's campus in October 2025.
The district attorney's office stated that it is collaborating with LSU Police, Baton Rouge Police, and other agencies to gather evidence and information related to the case.
"To protect the integrity of this investigation and the rights of all involved, we will have no further comment at this time," the DA's office said in a statement.
The investigation follows recent public statements made by one of the students on social media. She questioned the university's handling of her report and whether the school adequately protects its athletes, particularly football players.
