Singer Louise Redknapp has reportedly ended her two-year relationship with boyfriend Drew Michael. The couple, who began dating in October 2023, are said to have called time on their romance amicably.
Sources close to the singer indicated that the relationship had simply run its course. "Things had been really good between them but it felt like their relationship had run its course and they both thought it was best to move on," a source told The Sun.
Michael is believed to have moved abroad for work, facilitating a clean break. Despite the split, friends have suggested Redknapp is focusing on her social life and busy work schedule. She recently shared that her sons, Charlie and William, whom she shares with ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, get along well with Michael, which made life easier.
Redknapp, 51, previously discussed her relationship with Michael, 42, in an interview last year, stating, "Drew's great. We're having a lovely time together. It took me a long time to get to that place and be open about anything. I was very guarded and scared. But I'm really enjoying having special times with someone. He's a great guy and super-kind."
She had also addressed public commentary regarding their nine-year age gap, dismissing labels such as 'cougar' as irrelevant. Redknapp and Jamie Redknapp, a former footballer, divorced in 2017 after 19 years of marriage.
In recent times, Redknapp has also spoken about pushing creative boundaries in her music, including the release of her new single featuring "sex noises." She has expressed a desire to create "progressive music" rather than focusing on nostalgia, stating, "I've always kept in my lane, done what people expected. Now I'm saying, 'f*** it!'"
Redknapp has previously been candid about the public scrutiny following her divorce from Jamie Redknapp, describing herself as feeling like "the villain" during that period. She credited her sons with providing the strength to persevere through the difficult time and the intense public judgment.
