Louise Redknapp Mourns Beloved Dog Rudi After 12 Years

Louise Redknapp announced the death of her dog, Rudi, on Wednesday, sharing her heartbreak with followers on Instagram. The singer, 51, posted a series of photos of Rudi with her sons, Charley and Beau, reflecting on their 12 years together.

"Our hearts are broken our gorgeous boy Rudi went to sleep forever today," Redknapp wrote. "Thank you for 12 amazing years of love and memories Rudes, you were the most gentle, loving boy." She reminisced about Rudi's presence as her sons grew up, his role in keeping other pets in check, and his constant companionship.

Redknapp added fond memories of Rudi's playful antics, his ability to escape enclosures, his interactions with other pets, and his affectionate greetings at the door. "We will miss you so so much, sleep tight our handsome Rudi rudi rudi go chase those squirrels over the rainbow bridge and be reunited with Blu. Love you forever. Mummy, Chaz, Beau and Banksy," she concluded.

The news comes after Redknapp recently shared photos celebrating her mother, Lynne Nurding's birthday, with her sons Charley, 22, and Beau, 17, whom she shares with ex-husband Jamie Redknapp. Fans noted the strong resemblance between Redknapp and her mother in the shared images.

Redknapp had previously spoken about her relationship with boyfriend Drew Michael, 42, whom she began dating in October 2023. The couple reportedly ended their relationship amicably, with Michael believed to have moved abroad for work. Redknapp had spoken in the past about being cautious about relationships following her 2017 divorce from Jamie Redknapp after 19 years of marriage, but expressed happiness in her later relationship, describing Michael as "great" and "super-kind."
