Detectives are seeking the public's assistance in locating a pair of £1,000 Louis Vuitton trainers that may be crucial to the investigation into the kidnap and murder of 21-year-old Jack Sullivan.

Sullivan, from Waltham Abbey, Essex, was kidnapped on June 22 and subjected to a violent assault. He was discovered in a car park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, and later died in hospital four days after the incident, according to Essex Police.

Investigators believe the perpetrators may be wearing the distinctive blue Louis Vuitton trainers or attempting to sell them. A photograph of a black Mitsubishi Outlander, believed to have been used in the kidnapping, has also been released.

The vehicle, which had been stolen from Loughton on June 3, was found abandoned on June 23 in River Close, Waltham Cross. Police are seeking information from anyone who may have seen the vehicle between these dates or when it was abandoned.

Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood, leading the investigation, stated that the Mitsubishi Outlander bore the registration HY16 FZR, though this was not the vehicle's true plate. He urged anyone with information regarding the car or the missing trainers to come forward.
