Lottie Moss Describes Estranged Relationship With Supermodel Sister Kate

Lottie Moss has revealed that her relationship with her supermodel sister, Kate Moss, is severely strained, stating they have "next to no relationship" and that Kate "doesn't want anything to do with me."

Lottie, 28, spoke about the fractured bond on Olivia Attwood's podcast, Olivia's House, detailing feelings of bitterness and embarrassment over Kate's alleged past unresponsiveness to her messages and calls while growing up. "I felt bitter about it and I'd spoken about it previously and she got upset but I was like you are my sister too I get to talk about you because this is my experience too," Lottie said. "It is what it is really."

She explained that the 24-year age gap and different upbringings contributed to their distant connection. "We grew up in different times. My dad was remarried and she, when I was born, was 21," Lottie noted. "We just didn't really ever bond and I think that's okay."

Lottie recounted her childhood desire for a closer relationship with her famous sister, inspired by Kate's iconic modeling career. "I think I always craved when I grew up and I saw her modeling and all this I just thought she was the coolest thing ever and I just wanted a relationship with her and every time I text or called I didn't hear anything back, so that was that," she shared.

Despite the lack of closeness, Lottie has come to accept their current dynamic. "I've learned now that I've got friends that are like my family and that it's ok that I don't need to have that relationship," she stated. She added that for a long time she felt embarrassed by the perceived rejection but has since realized their relationship "is what it is."

While the sisters have not directly addressed their distant relationship, Lottie mentioned spending last Christmas at Kate's house. She attempted to initiate a conversation about their bond, suggesting, "let's just address it and talk about the elephant in the room, let's just be honest. Like we don't have to all pretend to get along."

Lottie first publicly spoke about Kate not replying to her texts in 2013, noting at the time that she "doesn't really know" her half-sister.

In the past, Lottie stayed at Kate's Cotswolds mansion during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, tensions reportedly arose due to Lottie's lifestyle choices, including drug use and frequent partying, which contrasted with Kate's more recent focus on wellness. An insider told Page Six that Kate was frustrated by Lottie's desire to drink and her provocative social media posts, adding that Kate would not be around anyone using cocaine.

Despite their estrangement, the sisters have been seen together at family events, including their father's 80th birthday celebration, where they posed for photos, suggesting a potential thaw in their frosty relationship.
