Lorraine Kelly, 66, has shared the lifestyle changes she implemented to slim down for her daughter Rosie's wedding. The TV presenter adopted a healthier approach to eating and drinking earlier this year, a change she undertook with her husband, Steve Smith.

Kelly revealed that she and her husband committed to attending a twice-weekly gym class designed for individuals over 60, focusing on building muscle strength and balance. Additionally, her husband, who handles the cooking, reduced her portion sizes. Kelly also noted a significant cutback on her nightly indulgence of chocolate, which previously accompanied her tea while watching television. "It started off as maybe half a bar of chocolate or a biscuit," she told Saga Magazine. "And I can't open a packet of biscuits and just have one. No, that's not right. So we stopped that completely."

The couple also reduced their alcohol consumption, although Kelly mentioned they did enjoy a glass of champagne at the wedding. She stated that she is now "looking after myself a lot better" by incorporating supplements, swimming, and regular dog walks into her routine.

Rosie, an influencer, married her partner Steve White in July at the Cromlix Hotel near Dunblane, Scotland. She announced the wedding on Instagram, sharing that she was "decompressing in Edinburgh after the most special weekend of our lives." Rosie and Steve had become engaged in June 2024, while Rosie was pregnant with their first child. Two months later, their daughter Billie was born, making Kelly a grandmother.

Kelly has spoken about embracing her role as a grandmother, suggesting it offers a chance to experience motherhood anew, albeit differently than her own experience raising Rosie while working. She and her husband have moved closer to their daughter's family to be more involved.

Reflecting on her own career and motherhood, Kelly recalled the challenges of being a working mother in the 1990s, noting that pregnant women on television were less common then than they are today. She acknowledged Anne Diamond as a "trailblazer" for pregnant presenters.

Rosie announced the birth of her daughter, Billie Kelly Smith-White, on August 29, 2024, describing the baby as an "angel" and noting the support of midwives. Kelly expressed her joy on Instagram, embracing her new title of "Granny Smith."
