Lorraine Kelly Details Weight Loss Journey and Lifestyle Changes
The television presenter discussed her efforts to regain fitness after experiencing weight gain due to comfort eating and increased alcohol consumption.

Lorraine Kelly, 66, has shared details of her significant weight loss and the lifestyle changes that contributed to it. The television presenter revealed she underwent a period of "comfort eating" and "drinking too much," particularly following the death of her father in January.
Kelly described looking at herself in April and deciding to make a change. Her regimen now includes cutting out chocolate and alcohol, swimming daily, and attending an over-55s gym twice a week. She estimates she has lost approximately one and a half stone, returning to a size 10 from a size 14.
The presenter hinted that her improved fitness has also had a positive impact on her personal life, suggesting she has "more energy" in the bedroom with her husband, Steve Smith. Speaking to Women & Home magazine, Kelly commented on the topic of intimacy, stating that "the healthier you are and the more energy you’ve got, then great. Why not? Go for it!"
Kelly also mentioned that her husband has also been undertaking weight loss efforts. She expressed her continued affection for Smith, citing his sense of humor as a key factor.
This lifestyle overhaul comes in preparation for her daughter Rosie's wedding this summer. Kelly aims to maintain her current size permanently, emphasizing the effort she has invested in becoming healthier.
Previously, Kelly had stated she had "got my waist back" by swapping alcohol and comfort eating for exercise and walking. She and her husband reportedly stopped drinking and eating chocolate in the evenings and began attending gym classes for the over-60s. Kelly noted that her increased fitness has also been beneficial when looking after her two-year-old granddaughter.
