Thomas Detry, a LIV Golf player, has voiced his frustration over what he describes as leaks originating from the league's internal player communications. Detry believes there is a "rat" within the player group chat who is consistently sharing information with the media.

In an interview with Today's Golfer, Detry stated that while LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil maintains open communication, the frequent release of information from their private group chat makes it difficult to maintain confidentiality. "The idea that someone might transfer it to the media, to someone else, is not really fun to know," Detry said.

Detry acknowledged that the leaked information has not been "game-changing" but emphasized the importance of keeping private discussions within the group. He expressed his desire to continue playing with LIV Golf, calling his current season "one of the best years" of his life. However, he also noted the uncertainty surrounding the future of the golf landscape, including potential fines in Europe and the ongoing evolution of the sport.

Despite the current climate, Detry stated that if given the option, he would "100%" commit to LIV Golf and supplement his schedule with major championships and DP World Tour events, describing it as his dream scenario. The LIV Golf league has faced significant upheaval as it navigates its future after the Saudi Public Investment Fund ended its financial backing.

LIV Golf held its last event in Indianapolis from Aug. 20-23.
