TV chef Lisa Faulkner, 54, has shared an emotional update with fans following her recent breast cancer diagnosis. Faulkner announced earlier this week that she has already undergone surgery for early-stage breast cancer and is scheduled for a course of radiotherapy in the coming weeks.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Faulkner expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support she has received. "Thank you for all of your support and your lovely messages. I promise I will read every word," she wrote. "So many of you going through this or know someone who is. Your love and kindness has really touched me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Faulkner explained that she had been quiet on social media due to the surgery, which took place two weeks prior. She described it as "quite a big op" but confirmed that her results are back and "they've got everything out." She added that "it's all clear" and she now needs to undergo radiotherapy.

She emphasized the importance of early detection, stating, "I'm so grateful I went for my mammogram." Faulkner urged others not to delay their screenings, saying, "I just wanted to say don't put them off, go, because they found this and without that mammogram it wouldn't have been picked up." She also thanked the NHS for providing mammograms and early treatment.

Faulkner, who is married to former MasterChef star John Torode, first met him in 2010 when she won Celebrity MasterChef. The couple, who were married to other people at the time, stayed in touch and became a couple two years later. After her MasterChef win, Faulkner built a career in cooking, writing several cookbooks and co-presenting "John & Lisa's Weekend Kitchen" with her husband.

Her daughter, Billie Coghill, 20, offered her support, calling Faulkner her "absolute inspiration." Other notable figures, including presenter Kate Lawler and journalist Lorraine Candy, also sent messages of well wishes and support.
