Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been granted a $1 million bond by a Florida judge, who found probable cause for him to face charges of armed robbery and kidnapping. The bond includes conditions that bar Arnold from contacting co-defendants or the witness in the case, and he must surrender his passport within 48 hours. Arnold is permitted to leave his residence for team practices, games, and legal appointments.
Arnold turned himself in to authorities last Wednesday and had been in custody since then. Prosecutors had sought an ankle monitor for Arnold, but his attorneys argued it would prevent him from playing football. The terms of the bond allow him to continue his NFL career under specific restrictions.
Prosecutors allege that Arnold was the primary conspirator in a plot to detain and pistol-whip three individuals he believed had stolen from him. However, investigators claim these victims were not involved in the theft, which occurred in February. Over $250,000 worth of personal property was reported stolen from an AirBnB rental near Tampa on February 1.
Three days later, three men were held at gunpoint, beaten, and robbed at a Tampa apartment. According to court documents, Arnold is accused of instructing co-defendant Jasmine Randazzo to lure the victims to her apartment, where co-defendant Arianna Del Valle was present. Two other co-defendants, Christion Williams and Lyndell Hudson, allegedly emerged from a closet with firearms and assaulted two of the victims.
Prosecutors stated that a third victim arrived later and suffered a similar fate. The assaults were reportedly captured on a video livestream and shared with Arnold and others. Text messages also allegedly show Arnold and another co-defendant giving instructions during the beatings, while others are accused of stealing property from the victims. Following the incident, the victims filed a report with Tampa police.
Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo have both admitted their roles in the scheme. Randazzo has already received a four-year prison sentence. Both women identified Arnold as a defendant. Other co-defendants with football backgrounds, including Lyndell Hudson II and Christion Williams, also face charges.
State Attorney Suzy Lopez issued a statement condemning the alleged vigilante actions, emphasizing that a property dispute does not justify kidnapping or violence. The Detroit Lions organization is aware of the arrest but has declined to comment further due to the ongoing legal process. Arnold, a first-round pick by the Lions in the 2024 NFL Draft, played college football at Alabama.
