The Paramount+ espionage drama dedicated its season finale to the memory of Rajeev Malhotra, a producer on multiple Taylor Sheridan productions.
The Season 3 finale of Paramount+'s espionage drama
Lioness, titled "The Unraveling," included a heartfelt tribute to the series' late producer, Rajeev Malhotra.
The episode aired after Malhotra's death on July 28. The dedication card stated: "This episode is dedicated to the memory of Rajeev Malhotra with the deepest appreciation for his tireless commitment and unwavering support. You will be missed, my friend."
Malhotra served as a producer on
Lioness for Seasons 2 and 3. He also held producer credits on other Taylor Sheridan-affiliated projects, including
The Madison,
Landman, and
1923. He was a co-producer on
Yellowstone and
1883.
According to a GoFundMe campaign established to support his surviving partner, Catherine Jordan, Malhotra passed away peacefully at Cedars-Sinai Cardiac ICU. An Instagram post by producer David Derks indicated that Malhotra's death followed a heart attack. Derks noted that Malhotra had continued working through illness to ensure episodes were delivered, only seeking medical attention after his condition worsened.
Malhotra was described as a dedicated collaborator within Sheridan's television universe, contributing to several of his popular series.
