Lindsey Vonn, 41, Debuts Romance with French Skier Matthieu Bailet, 30

Lindsey Vonn, 41, has publicly confirmed her relationship with French alpine ski racer Matthieu Bailet, 30. Vonn shared a collection of photos on Instagram Wednesday, which included a picture of the couple kissing.

Vonn captioned the post, “About that time for a summer recap… pt 1❤️.” Additional images in the carousel depicted the pair enjoying a beach vacation, with Vonn and Bailet smiling and embracing.

Bailet responded to Vonn's post with a sweet comment: “Can’t wait to see the summer recap part 2 😉😘.” He also shared Vonn’s post to his Instagram Stories, adding the song “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” by Olivia Dean.

The couple first fueled dating rumors in May when they were seen together in New York City’s Soho neighborhood, reportedly having lunch before taking the subway. Shortly after, they were photographed backstage at the Broadway musical “The Outsiders.”

Bailet, who hails from Nice, France, has been competing in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup since 2016. He also participated in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Vonn has been recovering from a significant crash during the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy in January. She recently made an appearance at the Met Gala, walking the red carpet without crutches for the first time since her injury.

In an interview at the US Open, Vonn stated that her recovery is ongoing and includes another surgery. "I still have another surgery, so I’m trying to get as strong as possible," she told TNT Sports. "And once I get my ACL, then I’ll have another long road ahead of me. But for now, I feel great, and I’m very thankful for that."

She added, “I’m hoping that I can have the [ACL] surgery in November, but it’ll be in the winter sometime, and then it’ll be another nine months until I’m fully recovered from that, so I can’t really look beyond that. I don’t really know what the future holds, but like I said, I’m just thankful for where I am right now.”
