Lindsay Lohan Revisits "Parent Trap" Roles for Twins' 40th Birthday

Lindsay Lohan marked a milestone birthday for her iconic "Parent Trap" characters, Hallie and Annie, by reprising their roles in a recent Instagram post. The 40-year-old former child star transformed into the twins to celebrate their fictional 40th birthday on Sunday.

In the video, Lohan appeared as Annie, sporting long blonde hair and a pale yellow sweater, speaking with a British accent. "Hi Hallie. Happy birthday. You know it’s October 11?" she said. The clip then shifted to Lohan as Hallie, with her hair pulled back and wearing a grey crew neck sweatshirt, adopting an American accent. "Annie you’re so funny, of course I know it’s October 11," she responded. "Happy birthday, sis."

The actress captioned the reel, "Happy Birthday Hallie & Annie!" The post was set to "There She Goes" by The La’s, a song featured on the 1998 movie's soundtrack.

Elaine Hendrix, who played Meredith Blake in "The Parent Trap," commented on the post with a simple "Happy Birthday."

Lohan, who rose to fame at age 12 for her dual role as long-separated twins in the film, has recently revisited other famous characters. Earlier this month, she reenacted a scene from "Mean Girls" as Cady Heron. In that scenario, her on-screen love interest, Aaron Samuels, played by Jonathan Bennett, asked her for the date on October 3rd.

Beyond her acting roles, Lohan is balancing her career with her personal life. She celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary with husband Bader Shammas in April. The couple, who quietly tied the knot in April 2022, welcomed their son, Luai, in July 2023.

Lohan is also set to star in "Count My Lies," a limited series marking her first leading TV role. She is also serving as an executive producer for the psychological thriller, which is based on the novel of the same name by Sophie Stava.
