Lindsay Clancy, the mother accused of killing her three young children, is under 24/7 suicide watch following a mistrial in her case, according to her defense attorney, Kevin Reddington. Reddington stated that he worries about Clancy, 36, "every day" and described her as "suicidal."

The mistrial was declared Friday in Plymouth, Massachusetts, after a jury was deadlocked on charges related to the deaths of her children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. The case, which spanned five weeks, now faces an uncertain future as prosecutors consider their next steps, which could include retrying the case, offering a plea deal, or dropping the charges entirely.

Reddington argued during the trial that Clancy was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis and hallucinated a voice commanding her to kill her children and herself. He maintained that she was not angry with those involved in the legal proceedings, despite being hurt by the way she was portrayed.

"She was hurt by the way they would talk about her and the way they would attack her. She was hurt, but she never once expressed anger towards anybody in the system," Reddington told NBC News. "She doesn’t have it in her DNA to be angry with anyone."

Reddington expressed that Clancy, despite her strong family support, is "not very good" following the mistrial. The defense attorney has been vocal about his concerns for her mental state and safety since the jury could not reach a unanimous decision.
