Lindsay Clancy, 35, has agreed to certain facts presented by the prosecution in her murder trial for the deaths of her three children. Clancy is accused of killing Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan, at her Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023. She subsequently attempted suicide by jumping from a second-story window, resulting in lifelong paralysis.

During the trial's commencement, Clancy made a rare court appearance to affirm the stipulated facts. When questioned by Judge William Sullivan, she repeatedly responded, "Yes, your honor." Her attorney, Kevin Reddington, stated that the agreement is intended to streamline the legal process by reducing the number of witnesses the prosecution needs to call, particularly concerning the chain of custody for evidence such as blood, fluids, and DNA.

Prosecutors contend that the killings were deliberate and premeditated. The defense, led by Reddington, argues that Clancy was a loving mother struggling with severe mental health issues, specifically postpartum psychosis, at the time of the events. Reddington has presented Clancy as someone who was not exaggerating her condition.

During the trial, emotional testimony has been presented, including a 911 call from Clancy's ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, who discovered the children. He has publicly expressed forgiveness for his ex-wife and defended her. Psychiatrist Dr. Sejal Shah testified regarding Clancy's mental state while she was hospitalized after the incident. Under cross-examination, Dr. Shah conceded that Clancy appeared to be an "honest patient" who accurately reported her symptoms and did not exaggerate her condition for legal reasons.

Investigators collected evidence from the crime scene, and jurors recently visited the pharmacy, restaurant, and the former Clancy home as part of retracing steps from the day of the killings. On that day, Clancy allegedly asked Patrick Clancy to leave the residence to pick up takeout food and an item from a pharmacy. She is accused of strangling the children with exercise bands and then attempting to end her own life.
