Linda Evangelista's Former NYC Penthouse Sells for $6.75 Million
The West Chelsea residence, once rented by Keanu Reeves, was purchased by the supermodel in 2001.
Supermodel Linda Evangelista has sold her West Chelsea penthouse for $6.75 million, according to property records. The industrial-chic home, featuring a 2,500-square-foot terrace, was previously rented by actor Keanu Reeves for approximately $45,000 per month.
Evangelista purchased the four-bedroom, two-bathroom residence in the Spears Building at 525 W. 22nd St. for $1.4 million in 2001. At the time, the area was a developing arts district. The building is located near the High Line, a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated over street level, which opened in sections starting in 2009.
The penthouse was initially listed in 2024 for $9.45 million. The price was subsequently reduced to $8.19 million and later to $7.99 million before the recent sale.
The 4,022-square-foot property includes a large living room with a fireplace, an eat-in chef's kitchen, and industrial design elements such as high ceilings, skylights, polished concrete floors, and exposed brick. The main corner bedroom suite offers views of the High Line, a spa-like bathroom, and a dressing room with six custom closets.
Evangelista, known for her iconic status in the modeling world of the late 1980s and 1990s, continues to reside in New York City. She purchased a three-bedroom unit at 35 Hudson Yards for $5.24 million last year.
