Lily James Attends 'The Liberation' Premiere in Sheer Blouse

Lily James showcased a striking ensemble at the London Film Festival premiere for her new film, "The Liberation," on Sunday. The British actress, 37, opted for a sheer, short-sleeved £2,000 Khaite blouse, beneath which her black bra was visible. She paired the revealing top with black trousers and matching stilettos, completing the look with her blonde hair styled in an updo and simple silver hoop earrings.
In "The Liberation," James portrays Ricki, a spiritual guru and cult leader in Guy Nattiv's 1980s drama. The film centers on Rita Cooper, a Holocaust survivor played by Carrie Coon, who joins Ricki's remote commune seeking to heal from past trauma. Rita's daughters, portrayed by Bella Ramsey and Odessa Young, endeavor to find and rescue her. The film is slated for release in January.
The 70th edition of the BFI London Film Festival commenced on Wednesday and is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, October 18. The festival features 251 films from 88 countries, including world premieres and various cinematic events.
Earlier in the festival, James also attended the gala screening of "The Liberation" in a white strapless gown, accompanied by co-star Bella Ramsey. She accessorized that appearance with silver metallic heels and wore her blonde hair poker straight.
James's recent public appearances follow her candid discussion about experiencing burnout. She revealed that after years of consistent work since age 21, she felt "beyond burned out" and was "losing the joy." To counteract this, she took an eight-month solo trip to Cambodia, describing it as a period to "recharge" and find "a new source of inspiration."
