Lily James perfected her hair flick while posing for photographs at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of "Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo" on Monday. The British actress, 37, opted for a classic Little Black Dress, accented with red lipstick.
James arrived at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Canada and shared a series of smoldering poses. She was seen giggling nervously in front of photographers and tossing her brunette hair.
Later, James joined actors Takashi Miike and Orlando Bloom at a cocktail party hosted at RBC House.
"Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo" is described as a standalone, international sequel in the "Bad Lieutenant" franchise. It follows the 1992 original directed by Abel Ferrara and Werner Herzog's 2009 film "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans."
The film's plot centers on Detective Yabuki, a corrupt, gambling-addicted Tokyo cop. He reluctantly teams up with an enigmatic American FBI agent, played by James, to find the missing daughter of a powerful U.S. politician. Their search leads them into a violent conflict involving the Yakuza underworld.
"Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo" is scheduled for release in Japan on October 23. A UK release date has not yet been announced.
In other career news, James is reportedly set to star in the horror thriller "Seasons" for Amazon Studios, directed by Drew Hancock. She also has three other projects slated for release: the action thriller "Cliffhanger," the mystery drama "Harmonia," and the animated comedy "The Angry Birds Movie 3."
