Lily Collins Returns as Emily Cooper for Expedia Campaign
Actress Lily Collins reprised her role as Emily Cooper for a lucrative advertising shoot in London, promoting travel app Expedia.
Lily Collins recently filmed her final scenes for the Netflix series "Emily in Paris," but the actress has stepped back into character for a new advertising campaign. Collins has signed a lucrative deal to become the face of the travel app Expedia, with a photoshoot taking place in London last week.
The partnership aims to capitalize on the show's success in driving interest in Paris. The hit Netflix series, which premiered in 2020, has been credited with sparking a surge in demand for trips to the French capital, a phenomenon known as "set-jetting." Expedia has reported an increase in searches for Paris-related travel coinciding with new seasons of the show.
Exclusive images show historic Sicilian Avenue in London's Holborn transformed to resemble Paris, complete with French-style cafes, bistro tables, vintage cars, and shoppers. Collins, 37, was seen wearing a black-and-white polka dot dress and her signature sleek bob, embodying her character, American marketing executive Emily Cooper.
During the shoot, Collins was filmed browsing clothing displays, flower arrangements, and vintage stalls. The show has followed Emily's experiences navigating work, romance, and French culture, with the latest series reportedly featuring a significant decision about her life in Paris. Additionally, the upcoming season is expected to include scenes set in Greece, potentially boosting tourism in that country as well.
In her personal life, Collins, daughter of musician Phil Collins, resides in Queen's Park, northwest London, with her husband Charlie McDowell. The couple welcomed their daughter, Tove, via surrogate last year.
