Lily Allen has been enjoying a European getaway between legs of her "West End Girl" tour. The singer was seen cooling off in the sea wearing a navy bikini during her travels, which have included stops in Bilbao, Spain, as well as Switzerland and Germany.
Allen, 41, has also shared glimpses of her life on the road, including moments with her daughters, Ethel, 14, and Marnie, 13. The singer posted a rare photograph of her teenage daughters on a private plane, noting their resemblance to her.
Allen, who shares her daughters with ex-husband Sam Cooper, discussed the impact of recent changes on her children. She mentioned on her podcast, "Miss Me?", that her daughters are finding it difficult to readjust after their relocation from New York back to the UK. The singer explained that the family has experienced significant changes, including moving houses, changing countries, and switching schools, which has led to the children "grappling with some new ideas" and developing their personalities.
She noted that her youngest daughter's accent has changed since returning to Britain, remarking, "now Marnie properly sounds like Princess Margaret." Allen also reflected on her own life changes, including finishing an album, undergoing a boob job, experiencing a nervous breakdown, and her demanding role in a theatre production. She acknowledged the dual role of being a single mother who needs to work while also providing for her children.
Allen's tumultuous year began with the news of her split from David Harbour. Following the separation, she sought treatment at a mental health facility, stating her priority was to be the best mother possible. While Harbour maintains contact with her daughters, Allen keeps her distance from those relationships.
