Unusual job requirements for Lil Wayne's personal assistants, including round-the-clock availability and preparing marijuana cigarettes, have emerged in court filings related to a lawsuit. Former assistant Andrew Williams claims the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, assaulted him on a private jet in 2022.
Williams' lawsuit outlines a job description that includes signing a non-disclosure agreement, maintaining discretion, packing bags for trips, and traveling with the artist at all times. Assistants are expected to be self-motivated with a positive attitude and comfortable around children and dogs. The role also necessitates being on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, capable of working under pressure, and maintaining a "fast-paced lifestyle without engaging personally."
Among the more unconventional demands, assistants were expected to keep pre-rolled joints ready and restock them when necessary. The job also required the assistant to be physically capable of carrying bags and to possess "pleasant personal hygiene."
Williams alleges that the assault occurred when he attempted to intervene in an argument between Lil Wayne and a pilot on the private jet. The lawsuit claims that Lil Wayne struck Williams in the face with a closed fist, causing significant harm due to the rapper's rings and jewelry. Williams is seeking damages for emotional and physical harm, including medical expenses.
Lil Wayne's legal team has denied the allegations, asserting that the rapper acted in self-defense.
