Lil Wayne Announces Engagement to Madi Cannon

Rapper Lil Wayne, 44, has announced his engagement to his ex-girlfriend, Madi Cannon, 23. The news was shared in a video posted to Instagram on Monday by fellow artist B.G.

In the clip, as reported by Page Six, Wayne (born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) refers to Cannon as his fiancée. "I'm marrying this one. This is Madison," Wayne said, turning the camera toward Cannon. He added, "This is my fiancée. Congratulations."

B.G., whose real name is Christopher Noel Dorsey, captioned the post, "My lil Brodie gave me his blessings," tagging Wayne's Instagram account.

This announcement follows a TMZ report from May that Wayne had proposed earlier in the year. At the time, the outlet identified his fiancée as a woman in her 20s from Indiana, but her identity was not then publicly confirmed.

Wayne has four children from previous relationships. He shares daughter Reginae Carter, 27, with his ex-wife Antonia "Toya" Johnson. He also has sons Dwayne Michael Carter III, 17, and Kameron Carter, 17, with Sarah Vivan and Lauren London, respectively, and son Neal Carter, 16, with singer Nivea. Wayne was married to Johnson from 2004 to 2006. He was previously engaged to Nivea.
