The liberal social media account "Dear White Staffers" has ignited controversy by sharing a post that calls for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to "hunt down" and eliminate individuals named in the Jeffrey Epstein files. The post, originally shared by activist Ariana Jasmine, suggested using taxpayer funds for ICE to target those implicated in the files rather than focusing on immigrants.

"As an American, I would like my tax dollars to be used for ICE to hunt down and [shoot]/[kill] the people in the Epstein files, not random immigrants," the post stated. Jasmine dared critics to sue over the provocative statement.

The "Dear White Staffers" account, which is frequently promoted by some Democratic members of Congress, has a history of making controversial statements. Previously, the account mused about interrupting movies if Donald Trump were to die and chided Democrats for participating in the Congressional baseball game with Republicans, referring to them as "fascists." It also made a post stating, "Dems about to get real f—ing racist," after Trump's 2024 election victory.

Founded by Philip Bennett, who also operates as the operations director for Rep. Summer Lee (D-Pa.) and previously worked for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), the account began as a platform for minority staffers on Capitol Hill to express grievances. However, it has increasingly ventured into inflammatory rhetoric and has become a notable platform for anti-Israel sentiment.

The U.S. Justice Department concluded its release of approximately 3.5 million pages of documents related to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in January. These files contain detailed accounts of sex crimes and mention numerous elites associated with Epstein, though some material includes names of individuals not directly connected to his criminal activities.

Despite the contentious nature of the "Dear White Staffers" post, some prominent Democrats have engaged with the account. Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) recently collaborated on a post with "Dear White Staffers" advocating for the abolition of ICE. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) also participated in a cross-post with the account to commemorate the anniversary of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Bennett did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the latest controversy.
