Kane Silom, the chief media director for Opposition Leader Angus Taylor, was captured on a hot mic criticizing a Network 10 political reporter's line of questioning following a press conference.
Silom approached reporter Ashleigh Raper after she repeatedly pressed Taylor about allegations under examination by the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Video shows Silom confronting Raper, stating, "Are your ratings that bad? Seriously, that's a frickin disgrace." Raper responded by questioning his remark, asking, "What? Asking questions about an ICAC inquiry?"
Silom replied that Taylor had answered the questions numerous times. Raper countered, "No, he has not answered a single question." Silom then added, "No wonder 10 Plus got cut."
The exchange occurred on Thursday, as Raper continued to question Taylor regarding the ongoing ICAC investigation into a Liberal faction.
