Liam Gallagher Trolls Fans Over Oasis Ticket Prices, Suggests Canceling Tour

Liam Gallagher has continued to engage with fans expressing frustration over the price of Oasis reunion tour tickets, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to offer sarcastic remarks and even suggest canceling the entire tour. Ticket prices for the 42-date European tour, which went on sale Friday, start at £170.50, with VIP packages reaching up to £571.

Gallagher, who previously told critics to "stop moaning," responded to a fan on Saturday who tweeted, "Liam the tickets are too expensive f**k ur 90s band." Gallagher replied, "So I’ve heard." When another user commented, "must be nice to be liam gallagher," he wrote, "It’s ok when I’m not being bullied about codes or being called mean names coz apparently the tickets are expensive."

Amidst fan complaints about the stress of trying to purchase tickets, Gallagher shared, "I know but what can I do this is the fairest way to do things so I’ve been told I’m getting stressed out now coz your getting stressed it’s not on. Stressification for the nation."

Responding to a fan who stated, "YOU SHOUD BE STRESSED OUT," Gallagher sarcastically quipped, "That’s mean of you I’ll tell you what let’s just cancel the whole god damn thing."

Fans also voiced dissatisfaction with the ticketing system, which required registration for a unique booking code to assign a specific purchase window. Many reported not receiving codes. When one fan asked, "liam wheres my code," Gallagher responded, "Behind you."

Despite the backlash, some fans defended the ticket prices. One user argued that £170 for Oasis, potentially for the last time, was reasonable considering other concert costs. Gallagher replied, "HALLA FING LULU finally oh and there’s quite a few more support acts to be announced but we don’t care about that though coz OASIS are greedy bumba fing clarts."

Oasis Live 27 is scheduled to include 42 shows across Scotland, England, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Italy, the US, and Ireland. The band has also cautioned fans about potential scammers impersonating Oasis or their ticketing partners, advising them to only accept codes sent from [email protected].

The tour has generated significant demand, leading to the addition of four extra dates, including two at Knebworth. The band's 2025 reunion tour also sold out quickly, with Forbes estimating it generated over £293 million. This reunion followed a lengthy feud between Gallagher and his brother Noel, which led to the band's split in 2009.

Previously, the band faced criticism regarding ticket prices for their 2025 reunion tour, which saw standard tickets double from £148 to £355. While the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) found no evidence of dynamic pricing being used, they noted that the practice "risked giving consumers the misleading impression that platinum tickets were better." The CMA instructed Ticketmaster to revise its labeling and pricing disclosures.

Ticket prices for upcoming shows vary by venue. For Celtic Park in Glasgow, standard seated tickets range from £71.50 to £263.50, with standing tickets at £170.50 and £203.50. Hotel packages are available from £470 to £495, and coach packages from £225.50 to £236.50. VIP packages range from £303.50 to £568.50. Similar pricing structures are in place for the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and Knebworth.
