Lenny Rush Joins 'Slow Horses' as Reese Nesmith

The cast of Apple TV+'s spy thriller "Slow Horses" has welcomed a notable new addition: 17-year-old actor Lenny Rush, who takes on the role of Reese Nesmith in Season 6. Rush, a BAFTA winner for his performance in "Am I Being Unreasonable?", brings a fresh dynamic to the series, which follows a group of disgraced MI5 agents.

Reese Nesmith is introduced as a young witness to a murder, whose unexpected sass and comedic timing quickly make him a compelling character. Viewers first catch a glimpse of Reese fleeing a crime scene in Episode 2, with his father as the victim. By Episode 3, Jackson Lamb (Sir Gary Oldman) and Roddy (Christopher Chung) locate Reese and bring him into what they call "protective custody," which turns out to be an arcade. It is here that Lamb interrogates the sharp-witted youngster about the potential motive behind his father's death.

Rush's casting adds to an already impressive lineup for Season 6, which includes actors like Sir Gary Oldman, Samuel West as right-wing politician Peter Judd, and Harry Lloyd as news station owner Damien Cantor. The season also features assassins portrayed by Kyle Soller and MyAnna Buring, tasked with targeting past and present "Slow Horses."

Before his role in "Slow Horses," Rush had a diverse television and film career. His previous credits include "A Christmas Carol" (2019), "The Dumping Ground," "Enola Holmes 2," "Dodger," "Renegade Nell," "Doctor Who," and "A Woman of Substance." He is also slated to portray Dobby in the upcoming HBO "Harry Potter" series.

New episodes of "Slow Horses" Season 6 are released on Apple TV+ on Wednesdays.
