Lena Dunham, 40, and her husband Luis Felber have welcomed their first child via surrogate, according to an op-ed published Wednesday in Vogue.
Dunham, the creator of the HBO series "Girls," had previously kept her desire for parenthood private, particularly after undergoing a hysterectomy in 2018. The surgery, which removed her uterus and cervix, as well as an ovary, was a difficult decision made to address years of pain related to endometriosis.
Dunham and Felber, a Peruvian-British musician, married in a private ceremony in London in 2021.
