Leigh-Anne Pinnock Responds to Troll Comparing Her to Jade Thirlwall
Singer dismisses comparison over streaming numbers, highlighting her career achievements.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock has responded to a social media user who compared her music streaming numbers unfavorably to those of her former Little Mix bandmate, Jade Thirlwall.
The "Celebrity Traitors" star took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the troll's post, which contrasted Thirlwall's "positive encouraging role model" status with Pinnock being a "flop that loves drama."
In her reply, Pinnock stated she typically avoids engaging with trolls but felt compelled to respond while enjoying her success. "As I sit here in my mansion by the fire, lapping up the fact that I've broken records, defied expectations, sold millions of records worldwide and helped define an entire era of British pop music, I can't help but smile," she wrote. "15 years in this industry, a successful solo career and still making history. I'm LEGACY status. A daily streaming figure could never define that."
Pinnock and Thirlwall rose to fame as members of Little Mix, formed on "The X Factor" in 2011 alongside Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson. The group achieved significant global success before disbanding.
Recently, Pinnock garnered attention on "Celebrity Traitors" for a dance lesson she gave to actress Miranda Hart. The moment, where Pinnock taught Hart choreography from Little Mix's hit "Touch," was humorously juxtaposed with other contestants plotting a "murder in plain sight" within the game. Fans praised the scene as a highlight of the series.
