Country music star Lee Greenwood, known for his hit "God Bless the USA," has relaunched his Soldier Valley Spirits brand in conjunction with America's 250th birthday celebration. The collection, which includes whiskey, bourbon, and vodka, aims to support veterans and first responders through charitable donations.
A portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold will benefit organizations such as Helping a Hero, the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, and Folds of Honor. Greenwood stated that Soldier Valley Spirits has operated as a charity since its inception.
The "America's 250th Birthday Collection" features spirits housed in commemorative World War II-inspired canteen-shaped bottles, designed by a former Army sergeant. Greenwood emphasized that the company's mission is to support military heroes and their families, aligning with its core values of faith, family, and service to country.
Greenwood, 83, has a long history of supporting military and first-responder causes. He has entertained troops on over 30 USO tours and received the Congressional Medal of Honor Society's National Patriot Award. His involvement in public service includes appointments to the council of the National Endowment for the Arts by President George W. Bush and to the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees by President Donald Trump. He also served on boards appointed by Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
"I've spent much of my career honoring the men and women who serve our country ever since my first USO tour in 1989 with Bob Hope," Greenwood said. "Soldier Valley Spirits is another way to say thank you. These are premium, American-made spirits that celebrate our shared values while helping support organizations that serve veterans and first-responder families."
Greenwood recently participated in events leading up to America's 250th anniversary, including the Great American State Fair kickoff where he introduced President Donald Trump and performed "God Bless the USA" with the Marine Corps Band.
His iconic song "God Bless the USA," released in 1984, has seen multiple chart resurgences, notably during the Gulf War, after the September 11th attacks, and reaching No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Soldier Valley Spirits is actively working to increase retail availability nationwide and offers its products for purchase online. Greenwood is also slated to receive the 2026 All-American Icon Award and will perform "God Bless the USA" at the Countdown 250 Ball in Washington, D.C.
