Lee Andrews, the husband of Katie Price, has reportedly had his head shaved due to lice concerns shortly after arriving at Dubai's Al Awir prison. Andrews, described as a self-professed millionaire businessman, was reportedly arrested again just a month after his previous release from the same facility.
Journalist Ellie Henman, who has faced legal threats from Andrews over her reporting on his alleged 'conman' behavior, stated that his hairpiece was discarded and his thinning hair was shaved upon his arrival at Al Awir prison. Henman indicated that the shaving was a measure to address concerns about lice.
Despite his current detention, Andrews is reportedly boasting about an imminent release, claiming that the alleged £120,000 fine he faced has been settled. A source told The Sun that Andrews contacted a friend, stating, "They’ve arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a Go Fund Me." The source added that Andrews had been stressed in the days prior to his arrest, believing he owed money.
Andrews' legal troubles have been a recurring theme. He was previously held at Al-Awir prison for fraud allegations, though he maintained he was captured at gunpoint and suspected of espionage. He has publicly denied fraud charges, asserting there is "not one shred of evidence" and accusing his ex-fiancée Alana of spreading false stories. He claimed to have been taken to the Qatar border at gunpoint and was "slapped around a little bit" by his captors.
Andrews has also faced accusations from multiple ex-partners of financial scams. Most recently, he was accused of defrauding a "vulnerable woman" of £5,000. Additionally, his ex-fiancée Crystal Janke, 40, alleged that Andrews convinced her to invest £123,000 in his company with the promise of a £1 million return. His ex-partner Dina Taji initiated legal action against him after he allegedly took out a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge, resulting in a travel ban from Dubai. Taji has reportedly warned Price about her husband.
Andrews has denied all allegations of fraudulent activity. His disappearance into Dubai's prison system initially led Price to claim he had been kidnapped, before it emerged he was being held at Al Awir.
Katie Price is currently in the UK, having recently released a Sky documentary and appeared on 'This Morning' to defend her marriage.
