Lee Andrews, husband of Katie Price, has faced a significant blow as his family issued a statement distancing themselves from him. The statement comes amid Andrews' recent arrests and release from prison in Dubai on fraud allegations, as well as reports of him attempting to sell a purported sex tape featuring himself and Price.

In the statement, seen by The Sun, Andrews' sister, Kelly Andrews, and a friend stated their desire to "speak the truth." They expressed shock at recent information and acknowledged their own mistakes, emphasizing the importance of admitting when wrong now that proof has emerged. The family noted the painful nature of the situation due to Kelly being Lee's sister. "The Lee we knew was never like this, which makes it even harder for us, as his sister and as a friend, to get our heads around everything that's come to light," the statement read.

Andrews was reportedly arrested on July 10 and taken to Lahab police station in the Dubai desert, facing a fine of £120,000. His father, Peter Andrews, was also allegedly jailed on suspicion of fraud. While Lee was reported to have been released, his father initially remained incarcerated. However, insiders later indicated that Peter had also been released and had spoken with his son's wife, Katie Price.

A source told The Sun that Price is aware of Peter's release and has spoken with him. "She's focusing on her life and job commitments in the UK at the moment and just putting her best foot forward," the source added. Representatives for Price declined to comment when contacted by the Daily Mail.

Reports suggest that Lee and his father may have seen each other while in jail. Sources close to the situation indicated that Lee needed to raise funds to settle his debts before his release. Earlier in the month, it was reported that Lee had been arrested again shortly after his initial release from Al Awir prison in Dubai. At that time, he was reportedly "bragging" about his impending release after raising the £120,000 fine.

Katie Price's representative had previously stated that both Lee and his father were behind bars, with Lee maintaining his innocence and hoping to resolve his debts. Friends of Price have reportedly urged her to leave her husband, with one source suggesting she is "furious with it all, and fed up with all the drama and white noise her husband is bringing."

Further reports have emerged claiming that Lee has been attempting to sell a sex tape featuring himself and Katie Price for a reported £250,000. New claims suggest he considered selling the video to Vivid Entertainment, a company known for distributing adult content.

Allegations surfaced regarding a voice note purportedly sent by Lee before his detention, in which he discussed the potential sale of a tape for a significant sum. In the alleged recording, he reportedly stated he needed to "get cash quickly" and suggested the tape could earn him £250,000. He later reportedly backtracked, claiming he was joking after being warned about the illegality of selling such content without consent.

Katie Price has denied the existence of any sex tape with her husband. Her representative issued a statement refuting the claims, calling them "completely untrue" and "deeply misleading." The statement emphasized that no such tape exists and that the allegations were based on a non-existent recording. Price herself expressed feeling "incredibly upset, abused and humiliated" by the false allegations shared publicly.

In the alleged voice note, Lee reportedly said, "I could always release my sex tape with my wife, but it might go for a pretty penny. Yeah, there is a short one of that, but that's between you and me. So see if a newspaper will pay for that — quarter of a million f***ing quid..." However, upon learning it might be illegal without Price's consent, he allegedly responded, "I was not serious on that mate we have OnlyFans we will do our thing on this."
