Federal authorities apprehended a Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) worker and an associate on August 19, 2026, allegedly in possession of approximately 24 pounds of fentanyl. The two men, identified as 24-year-old Miguel Angel Tuz-Noh and 23-year-old Anthony Olvera, both residents of Lennox, were arrested in a men's restroom at the airport.

According to the Justice Department, federal agents observed Tuz-Noh and Olvera engaged in what appeared to be a narcotics exchange within the airport bathroom. Upon their arrest, authorities discovered a duffle bag containing ten brick-shaped packages of fentanyl. The drug was reportedly destined for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Tuz-Noh is believed by federal authorities to have connections to a drug trafficking organization. Both men have been charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. If convicted, they face a minimum sentence of ten years in prison and a maximum of life.

An initial court appearance was made on August 21, 2026, in the United States District Court in Los Angeles, where a federal magistrate judge set a $10,000 bond for each defendant. Their arraignments are scheduled for September 17.

The investigation into this alleged trafficking scheme is being conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. This incident follows a separate case in April where two other LAX contract workers were charged with intent to distribute methamphetamine, also facing potential sentences of ten years to life.
