MS NOW host Lawrence O'Donnell has sharply criticized Republican Senate nominee Mike Collins of Georgia for his use of artificial intelligence-generated attack ads against incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff.

O'Donnell described the ads as "the stupidest and most childish and most fraudulent stuff you have ever seen in a political ad." He argued that Collins' campaign, backed by Donald Trump, demonstrates a lack of substantive issues to address in the election.

One ad, produced by the Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC supporting Senate Republicans, features AI-generated visuals of Ossoff receiving hair and makeup treatments. The ad claims Ossoff spends more on these services than other politicians, even "more than the ladies," and concludes, "Pretty boy has an ugly record."

The ad omits that both Republican and Democratic politicians have reportedly spent significant amounts on professional hair and makeup services. O'Donnell noted that such tactics distract from key issues, including potential conflicts in Iran, an area where Collins has expressed approval of military action.

O'Donnell also highlighted Ossoff's demand that Collins release communications between his office and figures described by the senator as "some of the most notorious white supremacists in the country," Richard Spencer and Nick Fuentes. This demand followed a report by Slate that Collins' former chief of staff, Kip Talley, had attempted to assist Holocaust denier Charles C. Johnson by communicating with Spencer and Fuentes.

Talley stated he acted in a personal capacity. Collins' campaign has since reported that Talley is no longer employed by them and that the congressman "continues to condemn antisemitism and hate from all sources."

O'Donnell referenced a recent poll indicating that a majority of Americans find the Iran war not worth the cost. "Mike Collins has nothing to say to anyone who thinks that," O'Donnell stated. "Nothing to say about the people working for him who support white supremacists."
