Gaia Wise, the actress daughter of Emma Thompson and Greg Wise, has reportedly ended her relationship with actor Basil Eidenbenz, who stars in the Netflix series "The Witcher." The news comes as the family mourns the death of Wise's grandmother, actress Phyllida Law, who died at the age of 94.
Sources close to the former couple told Eden Confidential that Wise, 26, and Eidenbenz, 33, have been growing apart due to their diverging acting careers. They were last seen together in February. A friend stated that while the pair have ended their romantic relationship, they remain friends.
Wise has been carving out her own acting career, recently voicing Hera in "The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim." Eidenbenz has completed filming for the Amazon MGM Studios film "The Kellys" alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth.
This personal development follows a difficult period for the family with the passing of Phyllida Law, known for her roles in "Wuthering Heights" and "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial." Law died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Previously, Wise has spoken about her past struggles with anorexia, for which she underwent rehabilitation and therapy in her late teens. She is also looking forward to family celebrations, recently posting online about organizing a dance party.
Representatives for Wise and Eidenbenz declined to comment on the reports.
