Lauren Sanchez joined her husband Jeff Bezos at a state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan at the White House. The event, hosted by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, took place in Washington, D.C., on Thursday evening.
Sanchez, 56, wore a black off-the-shoulder dress that highlighted her physique. She accessorized the outfit with a diamond necklace and a black clutch, wearing her hair down. Bezos, 62, was among a guest list that included top executives from American companies such as Apple, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Tesla.
This was not the first time Sanchez has drawn attention for her attire at a White House event. Previously, she received criticism for her outfit at President Trump's inauguration in January 2025, where she wore a white pantsuit with a visible white lace bra underneath.
The state dinner was described as a lavish black-tie affair, intended to foster relations amidst geopolitical tensions. The East Room was decorated with red linens and floral arrangements, with Melania Trump reportedly overseeing the arrangements. The menu featured a fusion of American ingredients with subtle Asian flavors, and guests were served Schramsberg 'Blanc De Noir' champagne for toasts.
