Latin music stars including Marc Anthony, Luis Fonsi, Chayanne, Feid, and Jay Wheeler are set to perform in a benefit concert streamed live from Miami on August 16. The event, "Unidos por Los Nuestros" (United for Our Own), aims to raise funds for victims of recent devastating earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia.

Proceeds from online donations and ticket sales will be directed towards addressing both immediate and long-term needs. This includes rebuilding homes, repairing schools and community spaces, supporting children, and providing mental health assistance.

Marc Anthony, a multiple Grammy Award winner, stated that uniting for a common cause to help those facing hardship is a shared duty. His nonprofit, the Maestro Cares Foundation, will administer the funds alongside the Univision Foundation. The concert's proceeds will also support the nonprofit organizations All Hands and Hearts, CARE, Global Empowerment Mission, Techo, and World Central Kitchen.

The event was initially conceived to aid Venezuela following two powerful earthquakes on June 24. However, plans expanded to include Colombia after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck its western region on Monday, resulting in significant casualties and injuries. This earthquake has been described by researchers as the country's most severe this century.

For Venezuela, the fundraiser comes at a critical time as public and media attention may wane from a prolonged humanitarian crisis. Tens of thousands of displaced survivors in Venezuela require housing, clean water, sanitation, and ongoing medical care. Many are still searching for missing loved ones without official assistance.

The concert is scheduled for August 16 at 6 p.m. ET at Miami's Kaseya Center. It will be broadcast live on Univision, ViX, WAPA, TelevisaUnivision radio stations, iHeartLatino, and Venevision Play in Venezuela. Viewers can contribute by scanning on-screen QR codes, texting UNIDOS to 707070, or visiting univision.org during the broadcast.

Additional performers include Piso 21, Gente de Zona, Elena Rose, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Ricardo Montaner, Mau y Ricky, and Olga Tañón, representing various Latin genres from salsa and reggaeton to pop. Celebrities and television personalities, including Don Francisco and Dayanara Torres, are also expected to host.

Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel is also organizing a benefit concert for earthquake recovery on August 23 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. "A Concert for Venezuela" will benefit recovery funds from the United Nations Development Programme and the CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean. Beck, Natalia Lafourcade, and Carlos Vives are slated to join Dudamel for this event.
