LAPD Issues AMBER Alert for Four Children Taken by Mother
Authorities are searching for a mother and her four children who went missing from their Los Angeles home, reportedly in violation of a court order.
A San Fernando Valley mother, Mehrangez Sangalieva, 31, is sought by authorities in connection with the disappearance of her four children. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Sangalieva was last seen leaving her family home on Reseda Boulevard with Anas Mirova, 9, Zuhal Mirzoda, 5, Maryam Mirova, 2, and Rayana Mirova, 1. The disappearance occurred while a court order prohibited Sangalieva from moving the children from their residence during an ongoing investigation.
The California Highway Patrol issued an AMBER alert for the children early Wednesday. Police believe Sangalieva may be traveling in a gray 2011 Toyota Prius with the license plate number 6SWK678.
Sangalieva is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Physical descriptions for the children include Anas, who is 4-foot-2 and weighs 60 pounds with brown hair and eyes; Maryam, who is approximately 3 feet tall, weighs 30 pounds, and has blond hair and blue eyes; and Rayana, who weighs nearly 20 pounds. A physical description for Zuhal was not released.
