The first season of the DC Comics adaptation Lanterns is set to air its finale on October 3, concluding its initial eight-episode run on HBO and HBO Max. As the season nears its end, questions about a potential second season remain unanswered.
New episodes of Lanterns are released weekly on Sundays at 9 PM ET on HBO and its streaming platform, HBO Max. The series premiered on August 16, with the episode schedule as follows:

The central mystery of the season revolves around the death of Hal Jordan. The series explores potential culprits, including his trainee John Stewart, Sheriff Kerry, Sinestro, and even a speculative connection to Zoe, a fallen Manhunter.
While the fate of Lanterns beyond its first season is undecided, actor Aaron Pierre, who portrays John Stewart, is confirmed to appear as the character in the upcoming Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, slated for release next summer.
