LSU head football coach Lane Kiffin addressed a personal question during a July 30 women's clinic event, humorously responding to a query about whether linebacker Whit Weeks, who is dating Kiffin's daughter Landry, could be a future son-in-law. The question drew a significant reaction from the crowd gathered for "The Huddle," a women's football clinic hosted by the university.

When the question was posed, Kiffin gestured toward his wife, Layla, stating, "That's a question for Landry's mom, Layla, over there." He then added that his wife "gave two thumbs up."

Weeks, a linebacker for the LSU Tigers, is publicly dating Landry Kiffin. The couple first shared their relationship publicly in September 2025. At that time, Kiffin, who was then coaching Ole Miss, playfully jabbed Weeks in a postgame interview after his team defeated LSU.

Weeks, who had previously announced his return to LSU for his senior season rather than entering the NFL draft, cited his enjoyment of college and his desire to play in Baton Rouge as reasons for his decision. He recorded 14 solo tackles and 31 combined tackles, along with one sack and three tackles for loss last season. Weeks appeared in eight games during the previous season due to an ankle injury.

Landry Kiffin and Whit Weeks have shared moments from their offseason, including trips to New York and a vacation in Turks and Caicos.
