Production has officially commenced for the third season of Taylor Sheridan's Paramount+ series "Landman," with a projected release in mid-to-late 2027. Actor James Jordan, who portrays Dale, confirmed that filming began in September and is expected to continue through the first quarter of the following year.

"Landman," which stars Billy Bob Thornton as West Texas oilman Tommy Norris, follows the high-stakes drama of the oil industry intertwined with the chaotic lives of its characters. The series has gained popularity for its blend of intense drama and dark humor.

The second season, which concluded on January 18, 2026, saw significant success for the streamer. In the season finale, Tommy Norris departed from M-Tex after being fired by Cami Miller. He then embarked on a new venture, establishing his own oil company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, with his son Cooper as president. Several familiar characters, including T.L., Dale, Rebecca, Nate, Boss, and Ariana, joined Tommy in the new operation.

However, this new business venture comes with a significant backing from Gallino, portrayed by Andy Garcia. Gallino's investment means Tommy remains entangled in high-stakes situations, with clear consequences if the new company fails.

Meanwhile, Cooper Norris found a resolution to his legal troubles. Initially facing potential murder charges after an altercation, his situation was alleviated when Rebecca intervened. Ultimately, authorities were persuaded that the attacker died from a heart attack, sparing Cooper from charges.

The season concluded with the Norris family launching a new business, a stark contrast to Tommy's earlier job loss. This turn of events offers a sense of fresh start, though the unpredictable nature of the series suggests that this stability may be temporary.
