LaMelo Ball Says Diaper Duty Isn't His Job

Minnesota Timberwolves star LaMelo Ball has stated that changing diapers is not his responsibility when it comes to his 9-month-old son, LaOne. Ball shares his son with model Ana Montana.

"My girl do all that. It’s love, for sure," Ball said during an appearance on "Inside the NBA." "She do all that, you know what I’m saying? We got a good game plan going on."

He explained that he contributes in other ways, stating, "So I know what I gotta do to bring to the table. She know what she gotta do to bring to the table."

When co-host Ernie Johnson Jr. suggested Ball was missing out by not changing diapers, the basketball player clarified, "I did it before, you feel me? I’ve definitely did it before, [but] it’s just not my job. You know what I’m saying? It’s not my job."

Ball and Montana welcomed their son in January, but did not publicly announce his birth until May. Around the same time, they launched I Am Fertility, a nonprofit initiative aimed at supporting women undergoing fertility treatments and IVF journeys.

Montana, 37, shared a heartfelt message about their son on Instagram in May, captioning a post, "To my little ONE🤍🙏🏾 thank you for choosing me to be your mommy 🥹🙏🏾. I love you more than any word could ever describe! You’re my purpose and you’ve helped me become the woman I was always destined to be! Before I became your mommy, my heart was always looking for you 🥹🥰 and we finally found each other in Gods perfect divine timing."

Ball and Montana reportedly began dating in 2021 and went public with their relationship on Instagram in June 2023.
