Lady Louise Windsor Competes in Final Carriage Driving Meet of Season

Lady Louise Windsor concluded her carriage driving season with a competitive appearance at The Final Meet of the Carriage Driving Season, held in Windsor Great Park. The 22-year-old St Andrews graduate, dressed in traditional tweed driving attire, was seen smiling as she steered her carriage and interacted with her horse.

Carriage driving has been a significant interest for Lady Louise, stemming from childhood experiences with her late grandfather, Prince Philip. The Duke of Edinburgh developed a passion for the sport in his fifties and continued competing into his nineties, a pursuit also shared by Queen Elizabeth II.

Lady Louise has been supported at various carriage driving events this year by her boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp. The couple, who were first linked in 2024 and have been together since June 2025, have maintained a relatively low-key relationship. Felix, a fellow St Andrews graduate, has been observed cheering enthusiastically for Louise at competitions. Royal author Robert Jobson has noted Felix's supportive presence, describing him as a young man in love cheering on his girlfriend.

Felix da Silva-Clamp's background has been noted as fitting with Louise's family life, given her mother Sophie's middle-class origins. He is the son of a London solicitor and an Australian doctor, and has attended Melbourne Grammar School before St Andrews. His interests include theatre and traditional Scottish dancing, and he and Lady Louise have also joined the same reserve army unit.

Lady Louise's public demeanor and personal choices have often drawn comparisons to her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Jobson has pointed out a resemblance in temperament, suggesting a shared constancy and steadfastness. The Queen was known to have spent considerable time with Louise during her childhood, regularly staying at Windsor Castle.
