Lady Amelia Windsor has extended an invitation to Prince William and the Princess of Wales for her upcoming wedding, but has not invited her cousin, Prince Harry. The 31-year-old, who is 45th in line to the throne, is set to marry property developer Ollie Lewis next May. Save-the-date notices have already been issued for the ceremony.

Lady Amelia is the granddaughter of the Duke of Kent, who was a first cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II. She was reportedly not invited to Prince Harry's wedding in 2018.

A source told The Sun that Lady Amelia had compiled her guest list before Harry and Meghan's return to the UK. The source indicated that the exclusion could prevent an awkward encounter between the two brothers. "She isn’t close to the couple, but maybe it’s for the best as it saves an awkward run-in between the brothers at an otherwise special day," the source stated. "Of course she was snubbed from Harry and Meghan’s wedding so she doesn’t owe them anything."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to the United States in 2020. They are understood to have recently established a non-royal residence in the UK while maintaining their home in Montecito, California. Following their return, King Charles designated them as private citizens rather than working royals, a decision that reportedly led to frustration from the Sussexes, who claimed they had insufficient notice.

Lady Amelia, known to friends as 'Mel,' was first publicly photographed with Mr. Lewis in the summer of 2023 at Glastonbury Festival. The couple, who tend to maintain a private relationship, were later seen together at Wimbledon. They are believed to reside in Hackney, East London.

Lady Amelia has previously worked as a model for Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana. She is also an environmentalist and influencer with over 101,000 followers on Instagram. She was recently seen attending Notting Hill Carnival.

Last September, Lady Amelia's grandmother, the Duchess of Kent, passed away at the age of 92. Her funeral was a private Catholic Requiem Mass held at Westminster Cathedral, attended by King Charles, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and other senior members of the royal family.
